Frequently Asked Questions
What size BJJ Gi should I buy?
Adult BJJ gi sizes use an "A" designation (for Adult), ranging from A0 for smaller frames up to A5 or A6 for larger athletes.
- A0: 5'4" and under / up to 64 kg
- A1: 5'4"–5'8" / 50–75 kg
- A2: 5'8"–5'11" / 63–86 kg
- A3: 5'11"–6'2" / 82–95 kg
- A4: 6'1"–6'5" / 95–110 kg
- A5+: 6'3" and taller / 110 kg and above
Will my BJJ Gi shrink?
Cotton BJJ Gis can shrink if washed or dried at high temperatures. To help minimise shrinkage, follow the care instructions supplied with your Gi and avoid high-temperature washing and drying unless specifically recommended.
How should I wash my BJJ Gi?
As a general guide, wash your Gi promptly after training using a suitable detergent and anti bacterial wash. Do not leave a sweaty Gi sitting in your gym bag, as this can lead to odour and bacteria build-up.
What size boxing gloves are best for kids?
Kids' boxing gloves are available in smaller sizes designed specifically for younger athletes. The right glove depends on your child's age, size and type of training. We recommend checking the sizing information on the Cauli Cartel Junior Boxing Gloves product page before ordering. If you're unsure which size to choose, contact us for guidance.
How should I clean my boxing gloves?
After training, allow your boxing gloves to air dry thoroughly. Wipe the exterior with a clean, slightly damp cloth and avoid leaving gloves in a closed gym bag. Do not put boxing gloves in a washing machine or dryer unless the specific product care instructions state that they are suitable.
What is the difference between boxing gloves and MMA gloves?
Boxing gloves have more padding around the hand and are designed primarily for boxing, striking and pad or bag work. MMA gloves have a different construction with less bulk and an open-finger design, allowing athletes to transition between striking and grappling. If you primarily train boxing or kickboxing, boxing gloves may be more appropriate. If you train mixed martial arts, MMA gloves may be better suited to your training.
